Ta Ta For Now
"Ta Ta" is an informal "Good bye" caught on with British people.
This phrase was brought into popular use in the UK in 1941.

It's from Disney's Winnie the Pooh. Specifically it's something Tigger would always "TTFN, Ta-Ta For Now."

TTFN is a "pointless" initialism (no easier to say than the phrase on which it was based) meaning "Ta ta for now!"

This phase is used as an informal parting phrase, as a possible substitute for "See you later!" or "Goodbye for now!"
Rabbit "Well Tigger if you must..."
Tigger "Ha ho ha haw... TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!!! HO ho ho ha ha!!!"
*Tigger bounces out of door before loudly slamming it.*
