A phenomenon that occurs when in Star Trek Online, someone pets their tribble, and others nearby proceed to follow suit.
I went into a crowded space, and petted my tribble. Nearly everyone else nearby who had a tribble petted theirs, as well. Thus, the Tribble Effect.
