Beat the case

Contrary to the other definition,
Beating the case is not only getting away with a crime, because that implies that you commited the crime.

You can also beat the case while being innocent and not having commited any crime, thus falsely accused.
Feds incarcerated me for no reason, still i had to fight in court and prove my innocence.

In the end truth ruled and i beat the case!

the case of charles dexter ward

One of HP Lovecraft's longest stories, and my personal favorite by him. Contains one of the best lines ever:

"Shoot Dr. Allen on sight and dissolve his body in acid. Don't burn it."

If you liked other Lovecraft stuff, don't miss this one!
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward is a weird, trippy, intriguing story.

Ace in the Case

Used in either a situation or to describe an accomplishment that turns out exactly as you'd hoped. Or just as a way of voicing enthusiasm towards a remark made by someone else.
Jim: This party is going off!

Brian: Yeah man, it's an ace in the case!

Tod: Just got the wifi working again.
Roger: Sweet, ace in the case!
