Schrödinger's Douchebag

When one says something offensive, and their irony is initially unclear, they are basically simultaneously ironic and unironic, until they get a reaction. If they appear to get a positive (unironic approving) reaction, then the waveform collapses into being unironic. If they appear to get a negative (unironic opposing) reaction it collapses into being ironic. Shrodinger's douchebag.

While it formally has to involve an offensive topic, it is expanded upon people who try way too hard to make something land, but based upon the reaction of the audience, they'll say it's a joke as their form of copium to make up for their lack of spanking they received in their childhood.

Schrödinger's Douchebag

A buzzword thrown around in leftist spheres online built off a dumb conspiracy theory that the only reason anyone could like edgy humor is that they're secretly an evil nazi that drowns bags of puppies in a well while tweedling his comically large moustache. Citing that they only say it's a joke, when they receive backlash for it. When in reality, the vast majority of people who enjoy this brand of humor live with a mutual understanding that these are just jokes for shock value. And they aren't going to need this fact explained to them, let alone act in bad faith and make trying to explain it to them like talking to a brick wall.
