Pejorative for an argument made for sport that is patently untrue, in the manner of Slate.com.
This might sound Slate, but I think China's accumulation of US debt is actually good for the American economy in the long term.

The Oklahoma City Thunder might have won a few games without Kevin Durant, but to suggest they're better off without him is Slate.
