A slang term that stands for privy, private, and privileged. It’s the modern, rebranded version of “saditty.” Where saditty used to be thrown around as an insult (especially toward Black women, calling them bougie or “
white-washed”), priv is an aspirational compliment.
Someone who is priv isn’t fake or doing too much…she moves differently (than most.) She knows things you don’t (privy), keeps her circle and life selective (private), and carries herself with ease and refinement (privileged).
A black woman who is priv:
chooses to wear her personal style rather than what’s trendy, keep her
social media selective or minimal, values morning rituals, chooses experiences over things, read or listens to content that improves her life, keeps a clean living space, speaks
deliberately, takes care of her body, and practices financial discretion.
