Ohio is halved much like in respect to New Jersey (Northeast Ohio is like North Jersey and the rest like the more country like South)
Perkins and diners are where we go at about 12-2 AM and are commonly found. Most of the businesses are run by the mafia who are more like local celebrities and everybody knows "somebody". AND YES MOTHERFUCKER WE SAY POP. NE OH is full of places that are fuckin hardcore Youngstown aka Yompton aka THE murder captial, Cleveland (St.Clair), Akron, and Warren. The majority of people here are of Italian or Eastern European ancestry.
Also yes we are home to some of the most disappointing teams in sports (except the Buckeyes which we all love- you are not from Ohio if you don't like them).
Interesting fact: Northeastern sports fans are divided in many aspects( in baseball some like the Yankees and football some like the Steelers)
Most well known for: Lebron James, sweet house parties, and Ohio State Highway Patrol (Statees, sometimes called nazis by locals)

Region of Texas which has more in common with Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Some people call it a "wasteland", but its actually a peaceful and beautiful part of the state. Main cities are Longview and Tyler.

the alabama of the northeast is the nickname given to central PA. members of the media from outside of the state percieve pennsylvania as a 'swing state'- one that could go either left or right politically. this is far from true. PA is actually a state that his 2 distinct regions. on the two ends of the state you have the urbanized areas, which are traditionally moderatally liberal. this includes philly, allentown, scranton-wilkes barre in the east and pittsburgh and erie in the west. these (good) parts of PA are generally a mix of center-right 'union democrats' and true northeastern liberals. however, central PA is by far the most conservative area in the Northeastern US. this area is called an 'alabama' because it's known for having a lot of rednecks (due to the fact that this is part of appalachia).
