Meshugga

A Yiddish word for crazy or crazy person. Many times it can be used as a term of endearment by Jewish Grandmothers or Babushkas.
My grandson is such a meshugga but he is so adorable... and needs to eat more!

Often pronounced without final -r, influenced by both Yiddish gender inflection and non-rhotic American dialectal pronunciation.
