Chilling Effect Theory (Scientific Method)

A framework analyzing how the idealization of “the scientific method” can itself produce a chilling effect by ruling out legitimate forms of inquiry that don’t fit the textbook model. Stressfully chilling

A verb used by students to describe the phenomenon of chilling (i.e watching shows, texting, sleeping etc) when there is work to be submitted really soon. Used so you don't have to tell your peers what EXACTLY you were doing and embarrass yourself.
