A place used to practice playing basketball. It can be in a school,outside, a parking lot,La fitness etc. as long as you have a 10ft rim and a basketball you’re in the lab

Mike: Yo Chris you want to play 2k after school?
Chris: I would but I have to go to the Lab and practice my shot.

referring the the television show "Bones" on FOX.
Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) usually shouts it to his co-workers when he finds clues in the evidence and gets the team closer to solving the murder case.

Hodgins: I searched for where the dirt particles on the victim's pants could be located and it traced it back to an old factory in Virginia.

Brennan: Good Job Hodgins, that could be where our victim was murdered. I'll call Booth.

Hodgins: KING OF THE LAB! KING OF THE LAB, BABY!

Usually used in fighting games (primarily Marvel vs. Capcom 3) an expression which means going into training mode to practice a strategy, team, character, setup, etc.

I saw a video of C. Viper in Mvc3 and decided to hit the lab and learn her.
