In 1975, Chris Yandall, World Slalom Skateboard champ wrote an article that was published in Skateboarder Magazine "Cut the Jive and Jog"(1975). In 2004, while riding his skateboard after a major celebration session at Mission Beach LaHaina's down the boardwalk, the word "skogging" popped in his head.

Skateboarding and jogging. "SKOGGING" which led to the website www.skogging.com to commemorate this new action sport niche.

"Yo. Dude! Let's go skogging!"

Skozer

A downwardly mobile, low income, juvenile variant redneck between the ages of 15 to 25 usually inhabiting the suburban fringes of small to medium sized metropolitan areas. The prototypical Skozer is characterized by long hair (sometimes feathered), whispy moustache, high-top sneakers, jeans and a death metal or monster truck type t-shirt. Typically observed driving trucks with outlandishly large tires, the skozer is often a dune buggy/off road enthusiast with a penchant for cheap beer and a variety of non prescription street drugs.

1. n, v - derogatory, rider, esp. on the Washington Metro subway who pushes past other riders, esp. on escalators

2. n - sometimes simple "skoozeme" - by extension any Washington Metro subway commuter

I was bumped three times by skoozeme-skoozemes on my way out.

Metro's promotion of a "skoozeme-skoozeme" culture is part of the reason WMATA has the best safety record of any subway system in North America.
