The term for the wavey apperence of astronmical objects through a telescope at too hight a magnification caused by atmospheric disturbances. Looks like the visual distortion just above a road on a hot day.

In bullfighting, the matador beckons the bull with a red cape, which agitates the bull, and it charges for the cape.

Seeing red refers to when someone becomes so angered that it controls them, enraging the person.

As soon as he hit her, I was seeing red, and socked him in the nose.

Yeah, Twilight is mostly okay, but there are just a couple things about it that really get me seeing red.

An effect, usually brought on by exaustion, alcohol, or a few of the more illegal drugs, which cause a person's eyes to focus on nonexistant points. The resulting effect is that they see two of everything.

After drinking a six-pack and then attempting to reconstruct the string theory, Atom was seeing double.

Is sometimes used to describe a relationship where individuals are having casual sex and are not actually 'item'.
