scamp

To take without authorization; to steal. Usually but not always with playful rather than malicious intentions.

One who scamps is said to be a scamper.

The stolen object is said to have been scamped. If it had a previous owner, he or she is also correctly said to have been scamped.

To rescamp is to take the object in question from its original scamper.

Scamping efforts are judged qualitatively based on creativity and resourcefulness. Victims of particularly good scamps are said to have been scamped bad or scamped hard.
