A toy that became very popular in the 1980's. You twist and turn the cube until its all jumbled up. Then you try and solve it and after 5 minuets, you get mad, throw it in your closet, and move on. It's still popular to this day.

I'm like a Rubik's Cube. The More you play with me, the harder I get.

Robin's Song

Rubik's Snake

(roo'-bicks snake)(n) A puzzle found in the same family as a Rubik's Cube. However, the Rubik's Snake uses triangular prisms instead of cubes, and the purpose of the puzzle is to create other shapes (i.e. sphere, dove, etc.) using various twists and turns of the Rubik's Snake.

A Rubik's Snake is very entertaining because it shows the inner creativity of a person's mind. However, it is harder to find than a Rubik's Cube.

Rubik's Cube

A puzzle made famous in the 80's, died out in the 90's due to video games, and resurfaced in the 00's when the internet gave solutions. Rubik's brand cube's are known to be the worst 3x3 cubes available. They are stiff and hard to turn. Independent companies (mainly chinese) make DIY cubes. These are smooth, fast, and are what "cubers" use (people who solve the cube). The Rubik's Cube is the hardest thing to do solo, but the easiest to do with a tutorial. Don't believe anyone who says they solved it in under 2 months with no help. The Fridrich Method (CFOP) is the most popular and fastest method out. The current world record and world record average use this method. The WCA (like the NBA, but for cubes) keeps track of every solve ever done in a competition. Current world record is 7.08 seconds, and average of 5 solves is 8.54. You don't have to be smart to learn to solve it, but you have to be determined, like juggling.

Rubik's Cube Shooter

A mixed drink made by blending a Rubik's Cube into very fine pieces, then mixing it with vodka, or gin. It is best served at room temperature, in a shot glass, or tumbler.

The unique property of the drink is the relatively swift intoxication that follows its consumption. Upon drinking a Rubik's Cube Shooter, the pieces of the cube make dozens of small lesions on the esophagus, resulting in the immediate dispersal of the alcohol into the bloodstream.

Due to its immediate effects and potential health risks, RCS have recently come under scrutiny by some health officials and the American Association of Bartenders. Currently though, there are no laws against such a drink, and it continues to gain popularity on the college scene.
