How non-black
people spell “nigga/nigger” when they feel they “have to” use it to avoid racist connotations.
Used almost exclusively by non-blacks around other non-black
people to flex and act hard in the suburbs. Heard and seen most often when there are no black folks around. Strange. Definitely not limited to lower income/gang affiliated/drug users.
Usage most likely became most
popular after suburbanites discovered hip hop unfortunately. The simultaneous dissemination of the word along with the taboo associated with it probably made it cool and
edgy.
Contrasted against “nigga”, which can be used as a noun, an adjective, an exclamation or a cultural identifier; “nigguh” is much more inflexible.
Those who use the word tend to only refer to persons while overtly want to make their connection to, or enthusiasm for, black culture more apparent.
The worst are
people who call their black
friends “nigguh”. Even if Token said it was okay — just don’t. You ever think of how
bad it looks to be black, out with your white friend who won’t
stop calling you “nigguh”?
Of course you didn’t...because you call your black homies “nigguh” in public.
It’s indistinguishable in speech from “nigga”, non-black
people feel
like there’s a actual difference. I’m telling you right now: there isn’t.
I know some of you will fight for your right to say whatever and all that but just the same let a real nigga hear that shit come out your mouth and it might be an unpleasant experience for you.
