A term in rock climbing used to describe a rock hold shaped with a large depression in the center roughly forming a cup, or jug. It's incredibly easy to climb something with lots of jugs on the route, as you don't have to use only your fingers.
After that stretch of crimps, that jug was a nice rest spot.
