Traffic term for an unnatural slow down caused by drivers observing activity not impacting their lane of travel.

The traffic jam on the westbound side was caused by an accident, The traffic jam on the eastbound side was caused by "Gawkblock".

Hatblocker

When one's friend is jealous of his/her hat, so he steals it and hides it inbetween a Mini Melt machine etc.

Pat had a real cool Whitehall baseball hat, but his one friend Christian was very jealous of it. So christian stole it and shoved it in between a mini melt machine at the mall. The third friend Christopher was Mr. Innocent! Christian was the hatblocker!

hateblock

the action of using the 'hate speech' or 'incitement to hatred' reporting features on content-hosting websites with the goal of removing content from public view.

usually used when one's feelings have been hurt; with internet users becoming more sensitive, is therefore used increasingly on content that isn't really that bad, or on content that is 100% scientific/factual/objective without need for subjective opinion, making the content-hosting websites more tame and less interesting over time. an example of the tragedy of the commons.

"hey - I uploaded that video about the chemistry of A. Witz last night. did you see it yet"
"I was 10 mins in and the page refreshed to 'content restricted - inciting hatred'"

"hateblocked - gotta be... it didn't look hateful to me"
