the BEST band in the world even tho they were around ages ago. They were not racist but just said what they think all the time which set them apart from all the truly rubbish bands we have around now. They conisted on W.Axl rose{vocals}, Slash{lead Guitars}, Izzy Stradlin{Rythm guitars}, Duff Mckagan{bass} and steven adler{drums}. They broke up because Axl is abit of an asshole.We do love u axl all the same but u did break them up single handedly. When they all broke up they all kinda kept in touch {except for axl} and they now all have solo projects and we have the brilliant Velvet revolver!!!!!

Guns n' roses is the best band ever, many people have dissed it along with many other great rock bands of the time, but that just tells you that those people enjoy reggae music and probably know nothing about real rock n roll, to truly appreciate this band you need to be a musician and then can see the enormous talent that was around for 6 of the longest years

to all those bitch ass people who like pop mainstream music and dont like guns n' roses, i suggest you write some songs and well see if your first album sells over 20 million copies

rocket queen, sweet child o' mine, welcome to the jungle, you could be mine (awesome intro with wah wah),

slash's solos will forever remain among the best in the world especially sweet child which gives me goose bumps everytime i hear it

The only thing i can say is axl was shit in use your illusions and izzy stradlin should never have left because he wrote most of the songs and gilby isnt that great, also steven adler was way more creative then sorum even though sorum might be better at drums doesnt mean that he came up with as gooder shit it just means that he can play faster

One of the best rock bands ever. When Appetite for Destruction, their first and best album was released, they consisted of:
W. Axl Rose: Vocals
Slash: Lead Guitar
Izzy Stradlin: Rhythm Guitar
Duff McKagan: Bass
Steven Adler: Drums

They were also extremely badass.

Guns N' Roses are awesome. Even their name rocks.

Axl Rose - Vocals; judging by other definitions, he broke up the band?
Slash - Guitar god. One of, if not the best guitarist ever
Steve Alder - Drums
Buckethead - Guitarist. No, i didnt know for a long time either. I haven't been a fan for that long though.
Izzy Stradlin - Rythym guitar.
Duff McKagan - Bass

These were NOT in the band at the same time and the members were way more than this. There was double the amount above (Axl...)

Endlessly introspective rock group of the late 80s' early 90s'. One of my personal favourites. Produced great rock ballad 'sweet child of mine'. Also recorded unforgetable rock tunes such as 'welcome to the jungle' and 'paradise city' and 'madagascar'. Also made epic videos such as 'estranged' and 'november rain'. Fans eagerly await the release of 'Chinese Democracy'. The overdue and over budget album which showcase the brand new gn'r line up, which features just two original members, Axl and Dizzy.

Guns N' Roses 

There seems to be some confusion as to this whole Guns N Roses thing.

1. Guns N' Roses were NOT hair metal. Or if they were they were so far ahead of the rest of that scene they were barely in it

2) Axl was/is not a druggy. The rest of the band yes...but not Axl. Any tool knows that

3) Whats all this Nirvana comparison about. Did they write songs that were at all similar to each other? No...so stop it before I start comparing Mozart to Megadeth...

4) Guns N' Roses (original line up) was in no way manufactured. Since Axl went dolally then yes as they have to pass his rather bizarre entry standards (KFC bucket on your head anyone??).

Hope that clears things up for a few people.
