Smoother-sounding hip hop. Originated by Dr. Dre. G-Funk songs sample alot of P-Funk music. Was very popular from 1992-1996. Some G-Funk artists include:

- Snoop Doggy Dogg

- Nate Dogg
- Tha Dogg Pound
