factitious fever

Fever that is produced artificially by a patient. This is done by artificially heating the thermometer or by use of pyrogenic substances and is suspected if the pulse rate is much less than expected for the degree of fever noted.

The patient is suspected to have factitious fever.

Factishional/Factitious

(faction as a fusion of the two....nah!)....."look ya wee fanny! It is the truth ....ok ok...maybe I have EMBELLISHED oan it a wee bit n that but it is pretty much factual! not Fictitious!
