Gameplay aside, the lore between the two hold striking similarities; both were trapped for a century, they both lost their family/s, they both share the pain of being lonely and alone in a world that has yet to understand them. Their dynamic is certainly considered “rivals to lovers” due to them being in sumeru’s akademiya, their darshans having some connections with each other and often overlapping in topics which make the shippers speculate that they perhaps had some interactions off screen.
