Deaf means you can't hear anything, or can't hear too much. Can be temporary and permanent. The other way to say deaf is hearing loss.

Dude: Hey man this animation is great, just that I'm deaf so I can't hear anything. Maybe add some subtitles?

Animator: Sure I'll add some.
