Being so used to rejection that your mind puts you in a constant state of fear, making the thought of being rejected more comforting, safer and overall better than the thought of being (finally) accepted.

(Obviously, fictional-definition. This phobia does not exist in the real world, although the overall concept does.)

"I'd much rather they reject me, what if they finally reciprocate and I fuck it up?" – "Maybe you have acceptatiophilophobia."

An explaination which does <u>not</u> explain <i>why</i> a particular person does something, but which the person says in such a manner, that one can but shrug one's shoulders, and walk off.

Acceptional

A word that represents the misunderstanding of exceptional. Since exceptional means amazing/awesome but except means it’s ok I have invented acceptional. It means, “I guess it’s ok, we can except(accept) it.”

In general American Acceptionalism would be the hallmark of our society in the 21st Century.
