An adjective to describe a place in which there is a large amount of useful discarded items that you can salvage. This is similar to how a chicken or group of chickens pick(s) at the ground to find insects to eat.

chicken scramble

And event that occurs annual at the Garfield County Fair in Washington State in which three chickens are released into a field of elementary-age children. The object of the event is to be the first kid to grab a chicken and bring it back to the judges. There are prizes for first second and third place, usually in the form of Sacajawea gold dollars.

Messenger Chicken

When you are using a messenger application, and you're typing something. You see your friend start to type and out of politeness erase your comment to allow him to continue.

He then does the same when he sees you typing, and you're stuck in a game of Messenger Chicken.

It's best resolved by just typing an lol or smiley face.

I was talkin to Jenny last night but we got held up for like 3 minutes playing Messenger Chicken.
