A manipulation strategy employed by celebrities or influencers characterized by the deliberate and ostentatious display of material wealth, opulent possessions, and an extravagant lifestyle to create a sense of awe, envy, or inferiority among their audience. This tactic aims to establish a perception of social dominance, superiority, or exclusivity, often with the intent of influencing others' opinions, garnering admiration, and solidifying a position of perceived importance within the public eye.

An influencer flaunted their new Lamborghini to try and sell a product or crypto currency to their audience via image intimidation.

He/she always talked about being a hard hitter, or how his/her songs, writing, or words were somehow hard hitting, to make it sound tougher than it was. He/she had a hard hitting image to defend.
