It's me again, Steerforth. Those of you who think Brown Dirt Cowboy refers to something gay are too young to appreciate what Bernie Taupin was talking about. It's as I said in #2. They are names made up by children when they were playing. We did it all the time. I liked to be Flash Gordon or Rocketman!

Dirt merchant

A person who would sell just about anything to make a buck. They are cheap and not very sociable. They make terrible friends because they constantly try to screw people out of money. They prefer to do business in the cheapest way possible. Dirt merchants are nothing more than scum of the earth...

John says: "Hey Sally, I need a laptop computer that's cheap."

Sally says: "Well John, why don't you go buy one from that dirt merchant down the street!"

dirtbag

A person who is committed to a given (usually extreme) lifestyle to the point of abandoning employment and other societal norms in order to pursue said lifestyle. Dirtbags can be distinguished from hippies by the fact that dirtbags have a specific reason for their living communaly and generally non-hygenically; dirtbags are seeking to spend all of their moments pursuing their lifestyle

The best examles of dirtbags and dirtbagging are the communities of climbers that can be found in any of the major climbing areas of North America--Squamish, BC; Yosemite, CA; Joshua Tree, CA; etc.

dirt chicken

Fried chicken, purchased from a fried chicken take-away store but not KFC. Very cheap, greasy, and tasty as hell. Ubiquitous in the UK, especially in lower socio-economic areas.

Dirt chicken stores often have names like 'Chicken Cottage', 'Texas Fried Chicken' or 'Southern Fried Chicken', and the colours and logo's of the signs may imitate KFC.

Can also be shortened to 'dirt'.

The term originated due to the perceived lower quality of the product compared to KFC (owing to the cheaper price), and because of the 'dirty' appearance of the stores in question. For this reason, 'dirt' may be applied to other take-away foods where the price is low and hygiene questionable, eg, 'dirt curry', 'dirt kebabs'.

"Man I'm hungover, let's grab some dirt chicken."
"KFC, that's rich man's dirt."

Dirt Rod

A situation in which a heterosexual male human being is having anal sex with a female human being in the doggystyle position and a 2nd male enters the room and inserts his penis into the other male's anus from behind. The male in the middle is perplexed as to whether he should continue his anal sex with the woman while he gets it from behind or if he should just stop altogether.

Male 1: "I hooked up with the hottest girl at the club last night and everything was going fine until she surprised me with the dirt rod."

Male 2: "Oh man! So did you stop or continue?"

Male 1: "I finished and got the hell out of there!"
