The land where all Jews are indigenous to— even Ashkenazi Jews, who traveled to Europe after being exiled from Judea by the Romans who renamed the land Syria Palestina in an (obviously successful) effort to deny Jewish history.

This is the most common definition. It refers to claiming ownership of something that isn't yours, often through force or manipulation.

After the group project, everyone else did most of the work, but John ended up taking all the credit and basically Israeled the whole grade.
