Best Friend

One of the most special people in your life. They provide moral support, badass roasts for the person you both hate, sarcasm levels of 100,000,000,000,000, and memories beyond any other. You share inside jokes, have special nicknames for each other, and love each other more than any boyfriend/girlfriend could. They understand you and have ESPN or something. If you fell into a puddle of mud, a friend would pull you out, a best friend would just laugh and take pictures and then eventually get pulled in by you.

Lindsey and Becca have been Best Friends forever. They know EVERYTHING about each other and hang out every weekend. Wish I had a friendship like that.

emergency friends

When you aren't friends with anyone in a new place (class, gym, work, church, etc.) but you know you're going to need friends for that place, you become emergency friends.

I was in gym class with all of the dumb kids so I had to become emergency friends with some girl only because she was the least annoying person there.

I wasn't friends with anyone in physics class and I made emergency friends with the guy next to me so I'd have someone to sit with at lunch.
