In the 1997 movie titled "KFC: Revenge of Colonel", the main character 'el fatty mitation sensation inflation' was making a dish called the fridge melody. It included all sorts of ingredients that is found in your fridge. Needless to say, el fatty mitations' farts were beyond unbearable. Hence the name farted mite was coined.
