A place where children and teens go for 6-10 hours a day to learn. Much of that time nowadays is wasted. You can learn at school and have fun or be tortured. Sometimes kids who go for even 10 hours a day 5 days a week get homework, which was originally developed as a punishment, but then became a norm. Many people dread going to school because they have to deal with jerks and it is boring. They probably wouldn't be doing much else though and like going there to see their friends.
I personally go to school for ten hours a day five days a week, wear a uniform, and have no friends. I learn but then forget. There are no windows and we do not go outside. In total, we get 30 min. Of break. And I get an hour of homework on weekends and about two hours everynight so be thankful. Some kids don't have your opportunity to learn.

Or, as all the definitions that are no doubt above this one say, it is a person who, do to living an "isolated" life, is a socially awkward person, an idiot with no fashion sense, or a retarded person. (I'm allowed to complain about public schools because I was in one for a while, by the way.)

Get the middle school mug.School is a full time job where you are ordered to wear uniform (your work clothes) and be expected to practice the 9-5 daily routine but instead you have 8.30-3.20.They stop your imagination and the good kids and smart ones are left behind as they are almost always in classes full of idoits.The bad ones get their wanted attention and then get thrown into DEtention, a prison for 'bad' kids.The 'bad' kids are only like this because they are sick and tired of the system.The 'good' kids are sick of it too, and instead of speaking out (like what they want you to do) they just get on with It, as they know they have better things to do after this 'prison' sentence.
