The 'Back 6' is a reference the perilous closing 6 holes at the Famed FGCC Village Course in Athletes Village, CA. After routing changes in 2005 it simply became called 'The North Course' or 'The Six' and currently comprises the starting 6 holes. Often referred to provincially as the toughest 6 holes in golf it is noted to have decided the outcome of several provincial majors. It's fame and notoriety has spawned many local sayings, t-shirts and even a restaurant leaning on the fame of 'The Back 6' for its name.
