How 'big of a deal' it was would exist on a gradient and the REAL question is 'Was it a big enough deal to shut down the country and destroy the economy for years to come and does it mean that we should set a precedent where people are expected to cede authority over their bodily autonomy to the state?'and the ANSWER is no.
