Blown in from somewhere else. Like the people. Not from the area, but tied to it. Chief Pocatello himself called it "wandering earth." It tied his people to the land. later, the European settlers found it hard to leave. It's the reason Pocatello gets into your sole. Like the dirt, you're not from here, but you are meant to be here.
