a poser is a wannabe. basically a loser who tries to fit in by copying people they feel are COOL.

people who know a poser, should probably feel flattered. posers generally copy their friends, people who are unique get extremely P**sed at this :)

Lauren: omg check out my myspace... its SOOO original
Elly: uhuh yea its so great you used your initiative, im so glad you copied and pasted my website into your blog :)

Poser

One who changes their personailty, attitude, and looks based on an influence. The person can also be considered fake. If a sport is involved, a poser may pretend to be good at it. If a clique is involved, the poser may adapt the steriotype style of the clique. Posers are widely disliked throughout... everywhere.

Chris: Dude that fatass Mike can't seriously skate, why does he even try?
Sean: Dude, because he's the biggest poser I know

Does not have to be a wannabe boarder or someone who listens to good charloette, or anything like, for all you know, it could be a boarder trying to be a nerd! just cause it doesn't happen regularly doesn't mean it's impossible. anyways, a poser is someone who tries to be like a certain group of people, and half the times, aren't even cool. i mean why would you want to be emo? they cause themselves more pain - to deal with pain!

george is a poser, he tries to be a punk by hanging out with other punks but was too scared to enter class late by 10 seconds because he might be taken off the honour roll.

Somone who tries to fit in with a group of people. They obviously do not fit in but try their hardest to conform to this group people and usually end up just being a liar and a fake.

Alex tries so hard to fit it with Kara and Kately that she lied about hooking up with JT, just because Kara and Kately are sexually advanced, aka she is being a poser.
