Default woman: A 'default woman' waits in the wings - month after month and year after year - hoping to rise from insignificance to Significant Other.

A default woman prides herself in the depth of her love and the strength of her commitment, although her position is consistently 'backseat.' She is adept at posturing and jumping at opportunities.
