Nuggy

A nap or short sleep. My grandfather (who came from the Isle of Harris, Hebrides) used nuggy to describe a short period of sleep during the day. It’s been used in my family for over 100 years now and even been passed on to close family friends.

I know it’s only 1pm but I need a quick nuggy to make it through the rest of the day.
