Lea Salonga-Chien1 (born February 22, 1971) is a Filipino singer and actress. She is best known for her musical role Kim in Miss Saigon,2 for which she won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World Awards, the first to win various international awards for a single role.23
She was the first Asian to play Éponine as well as the first Asian to play Fantine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway4 and was the singing voice of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin (1992) and Mulan for Mulan (1998) and Mulan II (2004).56
She is an actress, Jazz singer, and stand up comic. She plays “Big Boo” in the show OITNB. She is also known as Lord of the lesbians and she also invented the term “Lick of lesbians” which means a group of lesbian women.
