An Eyepatch Discount is similar to the five finger discount, however, the only difference is that an Eyepatch Discount involves only computer software. Stealing a piece of computer software by downloading it from the internet (or direct connect program) is known as using your Eyepatch Discount. Since the official name for the act is Piracy, the term Eyepatch Discount was created, since many Pirates used to wear an Eyepatch.

Person 1: What a rip off, they want 90 dollars for that new game that just came out for the PC.

Person 2: That's fine, I got it with my Eyepatch Discount.
Person 1: Oh so you mean you pirated it? You're such a freakin Pirate dude.
Person 2: Yaaaar!

Price tag swapping, placing a lower priced item's price tag on a more expensive item in order to purchase the expensive item at a cheaper price. Named for the Gutenberg printing press, the first printing press with moveable type. This is considered shoplifting and will be prosecuted as such if discovered.got

The sole reason to use self-checkout is to score a Gutenberg discount.

big-box "discount"

Not to be confused wif da economy/bulk price dat you gain from purchasing super-sized-containers of groceries and household products at places like Sam's Club or Costco, this snortingly-sarcastic term refers to where a company packages their products in a much-larger cardboard package than said items actually take up, giving THEM the "discount", since they charge about as much for said parcel of goods as that seemingly- larger amount should logically cost.

To save space in my cupboard, I was able to fit almost two times the number of granola bars in a box as were in there originally --- talk about a big-box "discount"!
