1. A statistic in sports, mainly hockey and soccer, when you pass the object in play to a teammate who then scores.

2. A statistic in first-person shooters that shows how many times you tried to kill an enemy but your teammate had to finish the job.

1. In an ice hockey game, I got an assist by passing across the ice to my teammate who then shot and scored.

2. In Call of Duty I shot a guy in front of me only for him to strafe away and I got an assist after he ran right into my teammate's bayonet.

The act of checking out ones own ass to make sure it is appealing. This can also include another persons opinion to back up your own.

Usually played out by a female who is looking to purchase a new pair of pants or the like, and this act will either make or break the purchase.

(Carly was trying on a pair of pants at the mall, and when she exited the change room to show Megan there was a moment of awkward silence.)

Carly: Wow these jeans fit like a glove, and they're so comfortable!

Megan: uhh.. Carly, have you given yourself the booty assessment yet?

Carly: ...no? (walks to the 3-way mirror and does a twirl)

Carly: Jesus christ are you kidding me? These pants make my ass look as deformed as Joan Rivers' face!

assassin

A large game played over an extended period of time, usually by 10 or more people, and typically set in a college dorm. Players are secretly assigned the name of another player to "assassinate," that is, squirt with a water gun when the target is not looking and when no one else may see the shot. When the target is assassinated, the assassin inherits the target of the deceased, thus closing the circle. The game continues until only one assassin remains.

Jan assassinated Meredith, then got Cindy since she was Meredith's target, and is now chasing Giacomo and running from Tyler. What a game!

verbal assassination

A group of words that range from a few sentences to lengthy paragraphs which radiate supreme mastering of the art of language. The purpose of a verbal assassination is to impress the target person with your skills to either grind their self-esteem down to the size of a pea, raise their spirits in an uplifting manor, or simply to impress others with your ability to place words together in an inspiring fashion.

Claire is a master at verbal assassination. She is the verbal assassinator that all other verbal assassinators are subordinate to.
