Scarborough Shuffle

The process of transferring between subway lines at Kennedy station in Scarborough, a borough of Toronto, Canada. Both subway lines 2 (Bloor-Danforth) and 3 (Scarborough) end at Kennedy and transferring between them requires a rather long walk including 3 flights of stairs. This inconvenient process has become an infamous staple of commuting to and from the east end of the city and is one of the many examples of how much rapid transit infrastructure in Scarborough has failed to improve.

Just arrived at Kennedy, now I need to Scarborough Shuffle down to the Bloor-Danforth platform.

Miyazaki Shuffle

This term refers to the extreme lag and latency often present in the PvP portion of every game made by From Software, such as the Dark Souls series and Elden Ring. (Miyazaki being the name of the creator of these: Miyazaki Hidetaka)

Mild latency and lag in these types of games are usually bearable and a slight inconvenience, however the moment you're connected to a Host that lives on Mars or from the other side of the universe (and also happen to be a Wi-Fi Warrior) then you'll start seeing some real shit!

Your opponent's Character Model will start sliding all over the place while locked in a constant A-Pose and all you can do is just swing your weapon around wildly praying that your hits will connect before the Host can kill you.

Random1: I just got summoned into this Host's world and everyone is sliding around without attacking!
Random2: Good ol' Miyazaki Shuffle.

The three step shuffle: Taking one step forward, and two steps back. A metaphor for when using a pleasure releasing neurotoxic psychoactive (drug ex: meth, coke, ecstasy) that ultimately causes damage to the pleasure receptors and ability to produce pleasure naturally. The user takes a deceptive and temporary shortcut to induce pleasure and highten senses, only to feel and function worse (longterm) then they did before taking the drug. 1 step forward, 2 steps back... The three step shuffle.
