Refers to the act of glancing at the netting over your window/door to see how many flying bloodsuckers are landed on it before deciding whether or not to venture outside.

You'll want to always give "the great outdoors" a pre-screening before just mindlessly heading out the door, so that you don't get eaten alive once you're out there.

Pre-Holiday Movie

These are the movies that are released from the middle of October to about the middle of November, just before the holiday movie season. They may have some elements of being a holiday movie (slim but potential Oscar nomination, somewhat epic, drama, romantic comedy) but are usually not the major draw that the holiday blockbusters are. These are frequently horror movies to capitalize on Halloween.

The pre-holiday movies serve Hollywood by advertising the holiday blockbusters.

Secret Pre-Workout

The term Secret Pre-Workout is used to refer to a form of extra energy and motivation obtained after a gym-bro goes through a break up. They can usually be identified by wearing hoodies and lifting impossible weight since they are "going through it."

"Have you seen Chad pulling 315 on deadlift!?" "Yeah bro, I heard he got the secret pre-workout."

The period where two people flirt/tease each other. Pre hook could last for hours, days, weeks, not months.

Not to be confused with Pre-hook, the part in a song before the chorus.

"How's it going with you and that babe, is it a hook?" "Nah, we're only at the pre hook"
