(n) A group of people who feel comfortable within each others company. There is no specific thing that defines what you need to do or be to fit into the goth scene (except of course the implied black clothing). People in the goth scene all have different musical tastes, follow different religions, have different occupations, hobbies, and fashion sense.

True Goths

A Clique That pretends not to be a clique, usually made up of people who want to stand out or look different. Goths Get off on people not accepting them. Goths normally become Goths because they seek to be accepted by somebody. South Park does a great Job explaining exactly how Goth's act and why they act that way, They all call each other posers and they try to be non-conformists yet their parents buy them almost anything they want, and Put up with Their Petty Bullshit.

Tammy Became a Goth Because she is Fat and she isn't accepted by the majority of her school. Tammy made the conscious decision not to starve herself like most girls and she started dressing black and hung out with all the other "true goths"

Describes kids/teens who dress mostly in black and hang out with each other. They like Slipknot and dislike the rest of society.

Qualities of goth people include: Wearing a lot of black, thinking about dark things, such as death, and trying thier best to scare the shit out of preps. They are generally pretty cool people, even if I'm more into emo. They tend to like music like death metal, and experiment with crazy hair styles which may or may not look good.

Goth person: Look at me, I am wearing black clothing and am thinking about death.
