It was the first day of sixth grade. I compiled myself into one stupid little mess and jumped into the bus, trying to determine how sucky the first day of middle school would be. When I reached school, I quickly dumped all my new books into my locker, trying to ignore the fancy girl next to me, who's perfume was probably more expensive than my life. As I looked for my homeroom, I noticed a boy. He was surrounded by a gaggle of jocks, and he was the handsomest of them all. He was wearing shirts and a short, neither of them concealing his bulging muscles. I suddenly became aware of myself. My hair was pulled up in a messy bun and I was wearing a shirt that didn't exactly hide my love of Nirvana. I was wearing entirely black: I was really punk, I must admit.
He walked by with his gang, not noticing me at all, and leaving me to suffer the rest of sixth grade dreaming about him. Until seventh grade, when I found a new boy to crush on.
