half life 2

is overrated game that tried to be hollywood blockbuster but turned out mediocre and boring FPS with barely any reedemable features. The only person who likes this game is Gabe Newell and Nobody.

Half Life is only remembered due to Half Life 3 meme since the game has never reached an actual ending and ended on half Life 2 episode 2 dlc.
However, Half Life itself is a boring name for the title because it is some Physics terminology that will make you go to sleep. Thankfully, Lives only have two halves.
Person 1: Hey I hope they will make a sequel to half life 2.
Person 2: But it already exists, it's called garry's mod and its better anyways.
Person 1: oh right

Half-life 3

It's the name of a game that doesn't exist and will never exist.
It's often used to tease Half-Life fans.
Example: Here we have Q, who is a Half-Life fan, and V is going to tease Q.
V: "Hey man, Half-Life 3 just got released!"
Q: "Dih!"

The Half Life Point

A sudden turning point in how things in a category are made due to a revolutionary item created in that category
(Like how half life 1 changed game making)
George Lucas's Star Wars is like The Half Life Point of movie making.

caged plutonium which is a transuranic material that has a half-life of 24,065 years, making it decay (into different elements) inside a zinc-aluminum hull (the aluminum delicates due to the radiation and thus might crumble depending on the weight of plutonium-239) but doesn't rust as easily due to the zinc coating
"Our team have created a simulation of the half-life decay of plutonium-239 in a zinc-aluminum material lined caging scenario."

The Half-Life of Singapore Math

The time it takes for the bar model method, the heart and soul of Singapore math, to become a common feature in most math curriculums around the world, which implicitly means that it no longer holds the competitive edge over other developed nations in math education.
With pirates from both developing and developed countries leveraging on AI, the half-life of Singapore math is getting exponentially shorter, and the “fine” city of Singapore risks being innovated away if local math educators don’t act now.

Employee Half-Life

The Employee Half-Life of a workplace is the amount of time it takes for half of a new batch of employees to quit.

An EHL of less than three months is generally regarded as a bad sign in business.
When I first joined Acme Industries, there were five other new employees with me. After about six weeks, only three of us remained, including myself. So Acme Industries has an Employee Half-Life of about six weeks.
