Expression used when someone dies doing something stupid. Can alternatively be used for the deaths of people deemed unworthy of reproduction.

Likens the dead to microbes in a metaphorical gene pool, chlorine being a chemical used to kill microbes in actual pools.

“Did you hear about the robber who got killed robbing a 7-Eleven with a fake gun?” “More chlorine in the gene pool, huh”
