Rhetorical Phone Call

A term coined by UK Grime artist; JME, meaning a phone call that you don't answer. Stems from the term 'rhetorical question' which is a question that doesn't require an answer, such as "Are you silly blad?".

A phone number that used to be yours and is now someone else's; conversely, a phone number that used to be someone else's and is now yours.

Me: "Someone kept texting that he loved me and finally I said 'WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?' and then his mom said it was a kid and this used to be his dad's number. I felt bad."

Friend: "That's what happens when you have a regifted phone number."

Cell Phone Parathesia

The feeling of a cell phone vibrating in your pocket in the absence of an acutal cell phone vibration. This has also been termed phantom cell phone syndrome.

Frank: "Paul look!! - what are your doing? You're swerving all over the road!"

Paul: "I'm looking for my cell phone - I thought I felt it vibrate. I think it fell out of my pocket somewhere. Help me look!"

Frank: "Look it is in your cup holder and it is not vibrating."

Paul: "Arggh! I keep having these cell phone parathesia attacks. I think it is like phantom limb pain."

Frank: "More like phantom cell phone syndrome. Don't worry she'll return your call."

Dumb-phone-ded

ADJ. the state of being confused, or dumfounded, as to how to properly use a smartphone (such as an iPhone, Droid, or Blackberry),or some of its features, as a result of only previously owning "dumbphones".

I was quite comfortable with my Moto RZR but once I got my Droid Incredible, I was simply dumb-phone-ded.
