In Mafia, a last-minute, unexpected switch of votes aimed at a player who is least expecting it, causing disarray and surprise. This tactic is used strategically to ensure the elimination of a potentially dangerous player or to throw other players off their game. This is often executed in a fast-paced and chaotic manner, akin to the whirlwind confusion of a Chinese Fire Drill.

Everything was going smoothly for John, he was sure that he had convinced everyone of his innocence. But then, just when the voting was about to end, a Chinese Fire Drill occurred. To his utter disbelief, all the votes suddenly swung in his direction, catching him completely off-guard and leading to his unexpected elimination from the game.
