damage stacking

A term used in video gaming to describe damage (HP) to an enemy. For example, if one molotov causes 50 HP, then throwing 3 molotovs at something in rapid succession will cause the additional damage to add on, or stack, to the current damage per second. Example: if I throw one molotov, I will cause 50 damage. Throwing 2 more molotovs will cause 150 damage per second. (50+100 (2 more))
Throwing 2 molotovs at the Tank in L4D2 causes damage stacking - twice the damage per second.

shit stacking

Short for bullshit stacking. It's a tactic bullshitters use to place a large enough stack of BS consecutively to basically exhaust the willingness of a rational person to unpack it. It's followed by the bullshitter using that lack of willingness as a "victory" for their viewpoint. It's a consequence of Brandolini's law. See Liz Wheeler and Jordan Peterson as shining examples of this tactic.
From facebook, today: "don't claim to be a spiritualist if you bash others beliefs and religions ... you may not do those things under the white light of god but i sure do, especially tarot readings. Do yall know the portals you can open up doing that?? so yes i go by god he is my protector and this is exactly why you guys need educated before speaking on things."
Me: Wow that's too much shit stacking for me to bother unpacking it.

Haitian Stacking

When multiple things such as boxes, shelves, books, cases, etc are stacked in a manner that is perfectly fine as long as there are no sudden vibrations or jolts. Similar to real life Haitian houses built in precarious locations.
Person 1: "Those moving boxes have Haitian stacking"
Person 2: "Well just like Haitian houses, they're fine enough unless there's an earthquake."
