An ofensive word used mainly in mmorpgs to describe people that are new at the game or still have low levels and/or ask for free items and help. Most often used by erogant players that have been playing a game so long, there are cobwebs growing on them.
EX 1:
lvl 53:Move over I saw thatbag of gold first.
lvl 12:Oh well, I picked it up first.
lvl 53:Stupid noob!
Ex:2
lvl 3:I need money and free stuff!
lvl 89:Buzz of noob.

Anybody who is clueless, doesn't follow rules, tries to be tough on the internet, or tries to act like they know things they don't.

A noob (a.k.a. nOOb, n00b, nOOber) is a pejorative term for a player at a game (usually a MMORPG) who is relatively new (in the literal sense) or whose skills are inadequate (metaphorically). Ironically, if one uses the word "nOOb", that means they are quite addicted and don't have a life.

A "NOOB" is a stupid person.
Unlike "NEWB" which is someone who is actually starting out in the game, and could really use some help.

Some one who is nooby, coming from the word noobish, which is derived from the french word nu-b-o. Usually either a 40 year old virgin that lives in their moms basement or a hunter corio that has no friends and plays MW2 complaining about lag switchs, mods, hackers, and corner campers.
