A shortened term for the tribe of Judah which is one of the twelve tribes of Israel. A large portion of the tribe of Judah are known today as African American.

In 70 AD Emperor Titus won the siege of Jerusalem which lead many Jews to flee further into Africa to blend in with other black races. They settled in parts of Africa including the west coast of Africa where centuries later their descendants would be enslaved.
